EFAD:
The European
Federation of the Associations of Dietitians was established
in 1978 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Membership of the Federation is
open to the National Associations of Dietitians of all member
states of the Council of Europe.
Current members are: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland,
France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg,
Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden,
Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom.
In 1994 the Hungarian Dietetics Association joined the European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians (EFAD). The 5th Forum of EFAD took place in Budapest in 2003. Our dietitians were already delegated to previous Forums as lecturers, but it was a great honor for us to organize this Forum the first time in Eastern Europe. First in the history of the Forum a PreForum was hold, especially for the Hungarian nutritionists.
